Index Performance Review

Last week, US Federal Reserve announced to raise interest rate of 0.25%, same as the market consensus on progressive rate hike. During the week, Premier Li Keqiang mentioned to launch the Bond Connect this year, which allows foreign investors to purchase onshore bonds through HKEX.
 
Market reacted positively towards the news, Hong Kong stocks ended the previous adjustment and recorded significant rebound. CES China HK Mainland Index (CES HKMI) surged 4.6%.
 
Research reports had favorable estimations towards the Macau Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) in March. Both JPMorgan and Nomura predicted the March GGR to increase by 10% to 15% YoY. CES Gaming Top 10 Index (CES G10) pulled up 6.5%.
